Brown, Bob Steele, Tom Fadden, Ben Welden, and Sonia Darrin. Note that not only did this movie have the direction of Howard Hawks and the great star power of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, but it also had the brilliant Raymond Chandler source novel, and a screenplay written by three great writers: Faulkner, Brackett, and Furthman! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss in the vertical foldline, including in Bogart's nose and in Bacall's chin. There were tiny tears and tiny paper loss on the middle horizontal fold and a lesser amount of wear on the top and bottom horizontal folds. There were pinholes and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
