Bruce Humberstone Africa jungle action adventure thriller ("NEW and SENSATIONAL! ...in COLOR!"; "Filmed where it happened!"; "Filmed where it happens!"; "Based on the Characters Created by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Gordon Scott (in the title role "as Tarzan"), Eve Brent ("as Jane"), Rickie Sorensen (as Boy), Jil Jarmyn, Cheta (the chimpanzee; normally, this is spelled as "Cheeta", but not in this movie!), and Woody Strode NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that all of these color stills were printed with "A Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Picture" at the bottom. Apparently, this broke some kind of contractual agreement, because it was then overprinted with black over the word "Picture" and the world "Release" was printed next to it. This is on all of these color stills, and is not a defect. Note that although this still was "printed in Great Britain", it has full NSS information. Perhaps it was intended to be used in both countries (we have heard from collectors who saw these color stills in U.S. theaters at the time the movies were released, but we have not heard from any English collectors as to whether they were used in England at that time). If any English collector knows if this was or was not used in English theaters when the movies were released, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good to fine. There is a faint crease in the lower right of the image background, but it is mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. Otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
