An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Riff-Raff (also known as "Riffraff"), the 1947 Ted Tetzlaff Peru/Panama bad girl crime film noir ("Baby, this is a matter of love and death!"; "Only a sucker would turn his back... on a dame like this!"; "A guy geared for action... a dame designed for danger!"; about a plane that takes off from Peru with two passengers, but lands in Panama with only one, and the missing man had all kinds of important documents, and a private detective in Panama must find out what happened) starring Pat O'Brien, Walter Slezak, Anne Jeffreys, Percy Kilbride, Jerome Cowan, George Givot, and Sammy Stein. Note that Sammy Stein was a professional football player in the NFL, playing there between 1929 and 1932. He then became a professional wrestler, and he then became a movie actor, appearing in 58 movies, almost always playing a bad guy, often a crook or an outlaw cowboy (likely one of the very few Jewish cowboys ever!). Note that our consignor (Lawrence Bassoff, author of Crime Scenes: Movie Poster Art of the Film Noir) acquired this poster from the late Irv Letofsky, the longtime editor of Los Angeles Times Calendar arts section and a poster collector. He had Anne Jeffreys sign this poster at a convention in the Los Angeles area in the early to mid 1990s.
