Griffith Caribbean Bahamas tropical island romantic melodrama ("Based on a story by Nelson Hayes") starring Madeleine Carroll, Sterling Hayden (billed as "Stirling Hayden"; in his first starring role!), Flora Robson, Leo G. Carroll, Mary Anderson, Cecil Kellaway, and Dorothy Dandridge. Note that the love scenes in this movie got fairly hot and heavy, which could account for why Sterling Hayden and Madeleine Carroll ended up getting married! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss scattered down the vertical fold, with paper loss at the bottom crossfold. It had a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds, and it had an extra horizontal fold near the top one. It had a diagonal tear in the bottom center credits area. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
