Seitz cowboy western biography ("The thundering spectacle of America's most fabulous days ...when crimson courage fired one man to lead a band of stout-hearted comrades across a wilderness bristling with savages whom an organized army had failed to quell. The story of an amazing hero in an amazing era becomes a thrill picture that never lets you down!"; "Son of trouble... son of glory winner of the west"; " Ambush! 10000 yelling Shoshones attack the helpless pioneer wagon train"; "Stampede! See hundreds of horses running wild - and only one man to stop them!"; "Dead men ride! Kit Carson outplays the wily red men... his only allies dead men!"; "Dynamite! tons of TNT roaring headlong to destruction a never-to-be-forgotten thrill"; "Original Screen play by George Bruce") starring Jon Hall (in the title role as Kit Carson), Lynn Bari, Dana Andrews (as John C. Fremont), Ward Bond, Harold Huber, C. Henry Gordon, Clayton Moore, and Raymond Hatton (as legendary mountain man Jim Bridger) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was first released in 1940, Dana Andrews was pretty unknown, and was billed third, even though he had a co-starring role. In 1947, after his great success in "The Best Years of Our Lives", this movie was re-released with an image of him above the title and the tagline "Thrill to Dana Andrews' greatest role"! Just four years later, in 1951, the movie was re-released again, and by now Andrews' star had faded enough that they went back to the original poster image highlighting Jon Hall in the title role! Note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good to very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. Learn More about condition grades
