What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had pretty minor wear on the folds, and it was apparently in quite nice condition when it was found, except there were some small tears and paper loss on the horizontal fold going across the middle of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and restoration was done to the small defects on that fold, but after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and it acquired some creases and small surface paper loss in the middle left and just a few others throughout (see our image). They are not that distracting and any talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster, but bear this in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
