An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Northwest Passage ("Book 1 - Rogers' Rangers"), the 1940 King Vidor Revolutionary War era adventure thriller ("Keep away! I'll take care of him"; "Many thanks... for this errand of mercy!"; based on the classic novel by Kenneth Roberts; this was intended to be the first of a trilogy of movies based on the classic novel "Northwest Passage", and was advertised as "Book 1 - Rogers' Rangers", but the second and third movies were not made. This was partially due to author Kenneth Roberts not being happy with this first movie, and partially due to the difficulties of filming on location, and the movie did not do well enough at the box office to warrant making the sequels) starring Spencer Tracy (as Richard Rogers), Robert Young, Walter Brennan, Ruth Hussey, and Nat Pendleton

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most insert posters, especially from before 1970!

Condition: good to very good. There are some 1 1/4" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster that have been repaired with tape from the back and there is paper loss in the bottom blank corners that has been repaired with paper and tape from the back. There are minor creases scattered throughout the poster (more so around the edges). Other than the defects around the edges, the poster is in pretty nice condition.
