Tennessee Williams was a legendary playwright from the 1940s to the 1980s, and virtually all of his plays were adapted into film and have been revived many times. Some of his notable works include: A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Suddenly, Last Summer. He passed away in 1983 at the age of 71.
