An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Some Like It Hot, the classic 1959 Billy Wilder (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic musical cross-dressing drag crime comedy ("Hot!!!"; about two out of work musicians who happen to witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, and they need to leave town in a hurry, but the only jobs they can get is with an all-girl band, and they dress in drag, and one of the band members is Marilyn Monroe!) starring Marilyn Monroe ("and her bosom companions"), Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), George Raft, Pat O'Brien, and Joe E. Brown (the great star of 1920s and 1930s slapstick comedy, who practically steals this movie with a wonderful comic performance and an unforgettable final line!) Important Added Info: Note that we were consigned the entire set for this classic movie, and we are auctioning them in eight separate auctions, so that up to eight different collectors can win a card to add to their collection! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card has smudges near the center of the credits, but to the left of the title, and in the bottom right corner. There are a few even fainter smudges around the edges of the card. Other than these smudges, the card is in really nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! If I owned this card, I would surely have a talented restorer remove the smudges (either during gel backing the card, or possibly without even backing the card at all). After this restoration, the card will look fantastic, and have very little paint restoration, if at all, but bear these defects in mind before bidding on this card. Learn More about condition grades
