An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Conquest of Space, the 1955 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) outer space astronaut thriller ("See how it will happen ...in your lifetime!"; produced by George Pal; "Based on the book by Chesley Bonestell and Willy Ley", who were both highly acclaimed science fiction/science fact writers; the writers were very correct that it would happen in "your" lifetime; they correctly predicted a space station, and they were off on the timing of a manned Mars expedition, but that is likely coming soon, and there was a movie recently made about that, called "The Martian"!) starring Walter Brooke, Eric Fleming, Mickey Shaughnessy, Phil Foster, William Redfield, William Hopper, Benson Fong, Ross Martin, and Joan Shawlee NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The edges of the poster were folded back at one time and there are some pairs of staple holes along those creases (see our image). The image area has very slightly darkened and it has a few edge defects and tears along some portions of the vertical foldline that have been repaired with conservation tape from the back.
