If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION poster has been personally autographed (signed) by producer Walter Shenson! Also note that almost exact REPRODUCTIONS of the one-sheet poster surfaced in the hobby many years ago. While they were very professionally done, you could tell they were REPRODUCTIONS because they lack NSS and litho numbers, and because they were printed on a shinier glossier paper (but they were folded like regular one-sheets). We don't know who created these or when, but we are guessing the 1970s, and we don't know if they were sold as reproductions when they were first created, but we know that in the years since they have often been sold as originals, either innocently, or for deceptive reasons. This poster clearly has the shiny glossier paper that is the hallmark of the repro, and it can be displayed and enjoyed for what it is! This poster comes from a remarkable collection of 81 one-sheets (and this one reproduction), which we are currently auctioning in 82 separate auctions. Our consignor was a college professor for a number of years, who was a close friend of Ray Harryhausen, and who became friendly with many Hollywood directors, actors, and crew members. He had a collection of movie posters in the 1970s, and when he would have a chance to meet an actor, director, or crew member, he would find one-sheets in his collection from movies that person had worked on, and he would bring it to their meeting, and ask the person to sign (and on several occasions, he was able to get more than one signature on a single poster), and some of the people who signed wrote an inscription, sometimes personalized to our consignor. He has passed away, and he did not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain all the signatures on his 81 one-sheets (and this reproduction) are authentic, because they were acquired in person by our consignor. This is a rare opportunity to obtain vintage one-sheets with authentic signatures! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
