Now I Walk Alone!'"; "He's rough... tough... ruthless!"; "Based upon an original play 'Beggars are Coming to Town' by Theodore Reeves"; about a criminal who is released from jail after many years, and he had made a deal with his partner that he would take the rap for the crime they both committed, as long as they split everything 50/50 after he is released, but then his partner reneges on the deal) starring Burt Lancaster, Lizabeth Scott, Wendell Corey, Kirk Douglas (in his fourth credited movie role!), Kristine Miller, George Rigaud, Marc Lawrence, Mike Mazurki, and Mickey Knox. Note that the plot of this movie borrows heavily from "Angels with Dirty Faces" and "The Roaring Twenties" and other crime classics of the 1930s and early 1940s.
