Norman silent black African American oil exploration romantic cowboy western ("Thrilling epic of the Oil Fields"; "A Story of the Texas Oil Fields"; "Action! Love! Thrills!"; "One of the true stories of living colored examples."; "A Stirring epic of the Oil Fields"; "Produced by Norman Studios, Arlington, FLA."; "With An All-Colored Cast"; "All Colored Cast"; "The sensational western is here") starring Lawrence Criner, Kathryn Boyd, Steve Reynolds ("Peg"), L.B. Tatums, Alfred Norcom, and "the entire All-Colored City of Tatums, Oklahomo [sic]". Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that Richard E. Norman, who was a white man, not only produced this film but also directed it even though he is not credited on the poster or IMDb. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this herald has a really cool stamp on it in the play dates area. It reads "COLORED THEATRE", which itself is certainly sad and historic, but under it, it says "Steve is here, TONITE", indicating the star of the movie, Steve "Peg" Reynolds, was there in person that night, which is really cool!
