Date Sold 9/16/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Three Girls Lost, the 1931 Sidney Lanfield romantic love triangle crime murder melodrama starring John Wayne (very young in this role), Loretta Young, Lew Cody, Joyce Compton, and Joan Marsh. Note that this was the second movie John Wayne made after he had a starring role in "The Big Trail", and in this, he was an architect caught up in a murder melodrama. Even with sexy young Loretta Young as his co-star, he still did not make a big impact with this movie or the earlier ones, and it seemed his career would not go anywhere (and it didn't for another eight years, until he would become a star, with "Stagecoach"!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the top right blank corner and in the bottom of the left blank border, with the tiniest of paper loss in the other two blank corners. There is a 1/2" tear in the middle of the right border that was repaired with tape from the back. The still is lightly rippled in the upper left border and in the bottom border (this caused three spots of "glare" in the bottom border of our image, but those spots are solely on our scan and not on the actual still). The rippling in the upper left border extends into the background by Wayne's head, and it is slightly noticeable, but this is certainly a magnificent still and will look incredible displayed!
