An Original Vintage Unfolded German Film Festival Poster (measures 33" x 46 3/4" [84 x 119 cm]) (Learn More) Berlin International Film Festival (known in German as "Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin") is a film festival founded in 1951. The festival has been celebrated annually in February since 1978, and with around 300,000 tickets sold and 500,000 admissions, it is considered the largest publicly attended film festival worldwide based on actual attendance rates. Up to 400 films are shown in several sections, with around twenty films competing for the awards called the Golden and Silver Bears. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Please note that this is one of the first 226 items we are currently auctioning in this set of auctions are mostly non-movie posters (and most of them are from countries outside the U.S.). It occurred to us that it makes far more sense to auction these in our auction of "special posters" (which also includes lots of non-movie posters) than in our auctions of "oversized rolled" items that include many U.S. posters (like banners, 40x60s, etc). This item needs to be shipped in a tube over 30" (perhaps much longer). WHILE IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THIS POSTER CAN BE COMBINED WITH THE 773 SPECIAL POSTERS THAT FOLLOWS THE FIRST 226, THERE ARE ALSO MANY CASES WHERE IT CAN NOT BE COMBINED. The main reason for this would be if you buy many of the regular posters and a small number of the very oversized ones. If they were combined, the very oversized one would surely become damaged, so in that case, it would need to go in its own tube, and please bear this in mind before bidding on this very oversized poster.
