An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8 1/4" x 11" [21 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) The Turning Point, the 1952 William Dieterle newspaper journalism romantic crime film noir ("Based on a Story by Horace McCoy"; about a man who is a special prosecutor fighting organized crime, and he asks his cop father to help him, but his father is reluctant because he has ties to the mobsters; meanwhile, William Holden is a newspaperman who wants to help, but finds resistance at his own newspaper, because of their ties to the mobsters) starring William Holden, Edmond O'Brien, Alexis Smith, Tom Tully, and Ed Begley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the movie is called "This is Dynamite" on this still, which was the working title for this movie! Also note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic.
