An Undated (probably 1930s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (SpanUS 1sh; printed in Spanish in the U.S. for Spanish speaking audiences; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Reckoning, the 1932 Harry L. Fraser romantic crime melodrama (about a young man and his girlfriend who are small time criminals, working with an older man, and they get caught, and they escape and the old man helps them relocate to a small town where they have a new life, but they don't know the old man wants them to pull one last job, which they don't want any part of) starring Sally Blane, James Murray, Edmund Breese, Bryant Washburn, Pat O'Malley, "And An All Star Cast". Note that this movie bears a lot of similarities to 1948's "They Live By Night", which was based on the 1937 novel "Thieves Like Us", and one wonders if the author of that book had not seen this movie! Also note that top billed Sally Blane was Loretta Young's sister, and that second billed James Murray had been plucked from obscurity to star in King Vidor's 1928 movie "The Crowd", but his fame was short lived, and by the time of this movie, this career was nearing its end, and he would have just one more year of stardom, before returning to obscurity and passing away in 1936 at the age of 35. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). Condition: good to very good. There are creases and paper loss around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
