An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded International One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Downhill Racer, the 1969 Michael Ritchie Winter Olympics skiing sports melodrama ("How fast must a man go to get from where he's at?"; "Written by James Salter"; based on the novel by Oakley Hall) starring Robert Redford, Gene Hackman, Camilla Sparv, Joe Jay Jalbert, and Tom J. Kirk. Note that early publicity items on this movie refer to it as "The Downhill Racer", yet we have never seen any poster reference it as anything other than "Downhill Racer".

Important Added Info: Note that there are many collectors who consider this poster to have one of the very finest poster images of the 1960s! Also note that this poster was stamped "FOR" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOM" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOR" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States.

Condition: fair. The poster is lightly rippled throughout due to exposure to moisture. It is missing the bottom right corner and there is tape on the back of the crossfolds and several pieces on the back of the borders.
