Date Sold 7/26/2015 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Lobby Card (Learn More) Married in Haste, the 1919 Arthur Rosson silent romantic screwball comedy ("A sparkling, swiftly moving romance of young love"; about a very wealthy young couple recently married; the husband lives off a trust fund, and the trustee hates the way he blows his money, so the trustee pretends to embezzle all the money and leave town, which forces the young heir to learn how to make money on his own, and after he does, the trustee reveals his scheme and there is a long subplot involving a taxi cab that endlessly waits for the young couple to come up with enough money to pay the fare) starring Albert Ray, Elinor Fair, Robert Klein, Don Bailey, and Bowditch M. Turner Important Added Info: Note that, in the early days of movie making, when lobby cards were first made (around 1915), studios would issue sets of the cards in two sizes; the regular 11" x 14" size, and a smaller 8" x 10" size. The cards were identical in every way except for the different size. This practice continued through the early 1920s, at which point the studios abandoned the smaller lobby cards, likely because theaters either ordered 11" x 14" lobby cards or 8" x 10" stills, and did not order enough of the 8" x 10" lobby cards to justify them continuing to make them.
