An Original Vintage Hardcover Book (measures 9 1/4" x 9 1/4"; 100 pages) (Learn More)

Disney Dons Dogtags: The Best of Disney Military Insignia from World War II, the 1992 book by Walton Rawls with a foreword by Disney Archivist David R. Smith, featuring art and information about Disney's wartime efforts to help servicemen by creating distinctive unit insignia during the five years of the war, the studio created 1,200 of these insignias as part of the war effort. Very few of the patches created from these insignia survive, but fortunately, the Disney studio had transparencies of them, and those were used to create this book.
Important Added Info: Note that this is the first edition from 1992 in its original dust jacket. We have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information.

Note that this Sunday we have added hardcover movie-related books to our line-up of items (and we will have many more similar books in future Sunday auctions). On all books, the buyer must pay the actual cost of shipping (but if you solely buy books, or if you want the books shipped separately, they can be shipped in the U.S. only via "Media Mail", which is much less expensive than Priority Mail; unfortunately, there is no similar service outside the U.S. to Media Mail). So bear the above in mind before placing a bid on this book.

Condition: very good to fine.
