An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 36 3/4" [69 x 93 cm]) (Learn More) El Padre Morelos (literally translates to "Father Morelos"), the 1943 Miguel Contreras Torres Mexican historical war adventure melodrama (about the life of freedom fighter Father Morelos) starring Domingo Soler (in the title role), Consuelo Frank, Narciso Busquets, Dolores Camarillo, and Gloria Morel. Artist: Ernesto Guasp Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good to very good. There are some faint water stains on the back of the poster that slightly show through to the front in the middle of the left and right borders. The poster can be displayed as it is, or certainly, it can be backed. This is the sort of poster that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the water stains can be removed through chemical means, after which the poster will look fantastic, and it will likely require little paint restoration in the image.
