An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded "Other Company" Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Remember the Night, the classic 1940 Mitchell Leisen romantic good-guy-reforms-bad-girl screwball comedy ("Original Screen Play by Preston Sturges") starring Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, Beulah Bondi, Elizabeth Patterson, and Sterling Holloway. Note that this was the last movie Preston Sturges wrote before beginning to direct his own scripts, and this movie contains many typical Preston Sturges touches, and is quite delightful! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that from roughly 1936 to roughly 1941 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts, half-sheets, three-sheets, 40x60s and stills) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There is scuffing along the foldlines of the poster. There is paper loss at center and there is tattering and separation along the foldlines and edges of the poster with some repaired with tape from the back. Learn More about condition grades
