Artist: Richardson Studio Important Added Info: Note that this is one of an amazing collection of 62 linenbacked Australian daybills that all have great art from Richardson Studio (or John Richardson, before he became "Richardson Studio"!), which many collectors feel have the best art and design of any Australian daybills, and are highly sought after by collectors. These were accumulated by a very dedicated collector over many years, and they are now being all offered at once (in 62 separate auctions), so this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain one or many of these daybills, many of which rarely are offered for sale or at auction. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had two extra folds with very minor wear on the folds. It had a circular tear with tiny paper loss in the background to the right of Donlevy's head. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. After the poster was backed, it was slightly roughly handled, which caused a 4" horizontal crease in the top right running through the center of the word "LAKE" and also a 3" horizontal crease running into Ladd's shirt at middle right, and both creases are in the poster and linen behind it, but neither are very noticeable or distracting.
