The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked and restored, and they reconsigned it to us in 2013. The buyer from 2013 reconsigned that same poster in 2017, and now that buyer has reconsigned the poster to us once again, so this is STILL the only example of this Danish poster we have ever auctioned! Note that the art on this poster is signed "Erik F.". The artist's full name is Erik Frederiksen, and we have been told by a Danish poster expert that he not only drew movie posters in Denmark in the 1930s but he also drew travel posters. Certainly he must be regarded as one of the premier poster artists of the 1930s, but he is not known today, likely because of the extreme scarcity of his posters. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had an upside-down Y-shaped tear in the bottom center of the poster, extending into the "E" of "ROGERS". It had some minor creases in the left and right borders and the most minor of wear on the foldlines. Other than the above, the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking.
