When a guy who can't get away with murder meets a girls who does!"; "Every scene crackles with Garfield excitement!"; loosely based on the book by Lewis E. Lawes, who was the real-life warden of Sing Sing Prison; it had earlier been made in 1932 as "20,000 Years in Sing Sing", and that was the working title for this movie until it was changed at the last minute) starring John Garfield, Ann Sheridan, Pat O'Brien, Burgess Meredith, Henry O'Neill, Jerome Cowan, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, John Litel, and Barbara Pepper NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. card has darkened with age to a yellowish color (typical of Warner Brothers linen lobby cards of this era); 4" tear in the left of the top edge through the credits into the image background as well as a 4" tear running vertically in the blank border at upper left; pieces of brown tape on the back of the card that have caused slightly "raised" areas along the left and bottom edges of the card; creases, scuffs, and smudges around the edges and to a lesser extent, throughout the card; tack holes at upper center in the credits area as well as some scattered around the edges of the card Learn More about condition grades
