I Want You for the Navy, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) recruitment poster ("Promotion for anyone enlisting, apply any recruiting station or postmaster") encouraging men to join the United States Navy (a sort of parody on the classic "I Want You" Uncle Sam poster with art by James Montgomery Flagg that had come out that same year, using reverse psychology to get the men to enlist in the Navy, by using great art of a pretty woman in a Navy sailor's uniform by Howard Chandler Christy).

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had creases and tears in the bottom 2", with some tiny paper loss, and it affected the "STMA" of "POSTMASTER". There was tape on the back of each corner and some other minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
