What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had darkening and a few creases along the folds, with some small tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone years ago mounted it onto thin linen with no excess, and attached it to a mat with adhesive on the back of each corner of the linen. Later, it was removed from the mat, but there are now sticky areas on the back of each corner, and the poster also acquired a diagonal crease in the top right corner. It can still be displayed as it is, or certainly, it could be re-backed, but bear the above in mind before bidding.
