Taut! Terrific!"; the screenwriter, Anthony Veiller, came up with a "prequel" to the classic short story, and he devised a very interesting and very believable back-story that would explain the actions of the characters in Hemingway's story) starring Burt Lancaster (in his first screen role; billed as "introducing Burt Lancaster"), Ava Gardner, Edmond O'Brien, Albert Dekker, Sam Levene, Virginia Christine, Charles D. This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good to fine. This poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. It appears to have had the following defects: there were holes at the two bottom crossfolds, and tiny paper loss at the top crossfold. There were pinholes in the corners and minor fold wear. The defects were well corrected during the linenbacking process and the poster now looks great! Learn More about condition grades
