An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Gene Stratton-Porter's A Girl of the Limberlost, the 1934 Christy Cabanne backwoods romantic melodrama (based on the novel by Gene Stratton Porter; about a woman whose mother rejected her throughout her childhood because she was born the day her father was killed, and she grows up to love a man who loves another, and she sacrifices her happiness so that he can be happy with his true love) starring Louise Dresser, Marian Marsh, Ralph Morgan, Henry B. Walthall, and Edward J. Nugent. Note that this movie was a sequel to author Gene Stratton-Porter's "Freckles", and it was first made in 1924, and remade again in 1944.
