An Undated (probably late 1940s or early 1950s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Fighting Texan, the undated (probably late 1940s or early 1950s) George Archainbaud Texas cowboy western ("Based on characters created by Clarence E. Mulford") starring William Boyd (as Hopalong Cassidy), Andy Clyde, Rand Brooks, and Elaine Riley. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not the 1937 movie of this title starring Kermit Maynard! This movie is a re-titled, Argentinean re-release of one of four Hoppy movies made between 1946 and 1948 (we can tell by matching the cast list). The four movies that this could be a re-release of are: Borrowed Trouble, The Devil's Playground, False Paradise, or Strange Gamble (there is a fifth movie that all three actors appear in, "Sinister Journey", but we have seen a different Argentinean poster for that movie, so that is eliminated). If anyone knows for sure which of the four movies this was a re-release of, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds, creases and some small tears on the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline, and pinholes, creases, and smudges around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was fairly well backed, but the person who backed the poster simply backed it "as is", without performing any restoration. Learn More about condition grades
