An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Pursuit, the 1935 Edwin L. Marin family kidnapping airplane aviation country road travel romantic melodrama ("Pretty girl detective gets her man!"; about a pilot who is hired in the midst of a custody case; the mother wants him to take her child to Mexico from California, so that her relatives can't get their hands on him until the custody case is over, but then the boy is reported kidnapped; the pilot is accompanied by a pretty young woman, and everything works out pretty much the way you think it would, but those who have seen the movie say that it moves well and is enjoyable) starring Chester Morris, Sally Eilers, Scotty Beckett, Henry Travers, and C. Henry Gordon. Note that Scotty Beckett took a break from his Our Gang shorts to appear in this movie. He was super successful as a child actor, and after he had success in "The Jolson Story" and "A Date with Judy" in the late 1940s, it looked like he would make a successful transition to adult roles, but that was not to be.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned four scene lobby cards from this movie until we received this one-sheet!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had separation and a few tears in the right 8" of the middle fold and there had been tape on the back of that area, and there were a few small tears in the top and bottom quarters of the vertical fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There were some small tears and pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
