What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. When this poster was found, it was mounted on a heavy board and the board had split in two pieces. It had paper loss around the edges. A really talented restorer removed it from the heavy board and linenbacked it. Since he had never seen another example of this poster, and could not find one, he did not add a blank border around the edges, although it seems likely the poster once had one. The poster displays pretty well, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, especially from close up. But from a reasonable viewing distance, the poster will display well on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
