After he became famous with "The Story of G.I. Joe", William Boyd, who had purchased the rights to all the Hopalong Cassidy movies in 1944, re-released all of the Hoppy movies, but on the Mitchum titles, he gave Mitchum starring billing (sometimes as "Bob Mitchum") just under his own credit, because of his greatly increased popularity!
