Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

Tappa inte sugen (released in English-speaking countries as "Oscar" and also as "Don't Give Up"), the 1947 Lars-Eric Kjellgren Swedish slapstick comedy starring Nils Poppe, Annalisa Ericsson, Gaby Stenberg, Ulla Sallert, and Karl Arne Holmsten. Note that this was one of seven movies from between 1948 and 1959 featuring Nils Poppe playing the character Fabian Bom, a soldier who is obsessive compulsive and insists on following every rule very closely, but rather than being annoying, he is humorous, and he does well in the military. This character physically resembled Charlie Chaplin, and became extremely popular in Sweden! We have seen cartoons on the German programs drawn by Olaf Iversen. The actor who played Bom, Nils Poppe, is also well known for his connection to Ingmar Bergman, and he appeared in "The Seventh Seal". If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
