An Original Vintage Linenbacked Music AM Radio Station Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 45 3/4") (Learn More)

WNEW AM 1130, the 1980s radio poster ("Blessed with America's Best") featuring artwork of Peggy Lee, the legendary singer who also worked on Disney's "Lady and the Tramp". WNEW was founded in 1934 and was known for its popular adult music selection as well as its staff of radio personalities. In 1935, WNEW pioneered the concept of a disc jockey when staff announcer Martin Block needed to fill time between news bulletins, and played records instead of the usual live orchestra. The station shut down in 1992.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster had a horizontal fold 3" above the bottom tagline area. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
