An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm]; 6 pages) (Learn More) Kiss Me Quick (also released as "Dr. Breedlove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love"), the 1964 Peter Perry science fiction (sci-fi) horror sexploitation comedy ("The consummate conception in adult enjoyment"; "'Positively Lewdicrous'"; "'Puts Mickey Spillane in a class with Disney'"; "'May well start an uprising among red blooded men'"; "'Pelts you in the eye with a big cherry pie!'"; "ADULTS ONLY!"; "Filmed in Exposo Color"; produced by Harry Novak; about a mad scientist who meets an alien looking for the perfect female, and somehow Frankenstein's monster, Dracula and a mummy are also involved) starring Max Gardens (as Dr. Breedlove), Frank A. Coe (as Frankenstein's Monster), Natasha, Jackie De Witt, Bibi, Claudia Banks (billed as "Claudia Bauls"), and Sexton Friendly. Note that this movie has a confusing history. Sources say that the original title was Dr Breedlove or How I Stopped Worrying and Love, but we have never seen movie paper with this title. If true, perhaps they were threatened with legal action because of the obvious similarity to Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove. The final release title was possibly in reference to Billy Wilder's Kiss Me Stupid, but as poster taglines mention Mickey Spillane, it may also be a reference to Kiss Me Deadly. The film has also been incorrectly attributed to Russ Meyer, and there is also conflicting information regarding the actors. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook contains unclothed women, so we have placed white bars over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual pressbook does not have those white bars! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. There are some faint stains and scuffs on the covers. Learn More about condition grades
