Leonard silent rags-to-riches-and-back-again promiscuous woman romantic melodrama ("Mae Murray in Circe the Enchantress by Blasco Ibanez"; a wild story of an orphan girl who is raised in a convent, but when she leaves it, she becomes a promiscuous vamp, and uses men to get her a Long Island mansion, but she falls for a famous surgeon, who tells her she is a tramp, and she is devastated and gambles away everything she has, after which she returns to the convent; she has a religious awakening, and is hit by a car and paralyzed while saving a child, but fortunately, the doctor who spurned her comes to see her and she is no longer paralyzed!) starring Mae Murray (in the title role as Cecile Brunne/Circe), James Kirkwood, Tom Ricketts, Charles K. Gerrard, and William Haines NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had nail holes, smudges, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster, and there was a nail hole in each side of Murray's chin and one in her chest. There were some smudges, scuffs, and stains scattered through the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was well backed, and the restorer chose to do a "minimal" restoration, to avoid the poster having a "heavily restored" look. I think this worked quite well, because you can see signs of the defects and the restoration of the defects from close up, but from any reasonable viewing distance, they are not very noticeable or distracting at all.
