Artist: Molnar Kalman Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one from this 1981 re-release in all our years of auctioning! Also, the 1977 Hungarian first release took place at a single theater at the Budapest Film Museum, and continued to be shown there (and only there) until the summer of 1980. It was not until the re-release in 1981 that the film became available in other parts of Hungary, and a new poster with art by Molnar Kalman was created to promote it. We have only once auctioned the 1977 first release poster (with different art by Gyorgy Kontar), and that poster sold for $775! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded once in each direction and there are a few tiny bits of surface paper loss on parts of the folds. There is a 1" x 2" water stain on the back of the top of the poster that caused surface paper loss on the front of the poster in that area, in the "AJ" of "MAJMOK". Other than this, the poster is in pretty good condition, and certainly any restorer could repair the above defects with or without backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
