An Original 1940 (from the first release of this movie in Japan) Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese Movie Poster (measures 10 1/2" x 14") (Learn More) Olympia 1. Teil - Fest der Volker (released in the U.S. as "The Olympiad"), the 1938 Leni Riefenstahl (movie actress who became a director for Hitler and made "Triumph of the Will" and this film) German Olympic sports documentary featuring documentary footage of the Olympic events, which included the top athletes from Germany, but also from the other competing countries, including the black athletes from the U.S., most notably Jesse Owens and Ralph Metcalfe. Adolf Hitler appears in the movie, and there are additional sequences of athletes performing (some in the nude), which were filmed especially for this movie. Note that this documentary on the 1936 Berlin Olympics was so massive that it was released in two parts (the first part was "Olympia Part I: Festival of the Nations", and the second part was "Olympia Part II: Festival of Beauty"; so technically this movie should be referred to as "Festival of the Nations", but because most people know it under the title of "Olympia" or "Olympiad", we refer to it in that way). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. There are four enlarged tack holes in the top blank border of the poster and there are a few 1/4" and smaller tears around the edges.
