Most experts believe that this IS from 1938, but that it is a one-sheet that was created for the international release of the movie. It has a completely different image from that of the regular U.S. one-sheet. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had paper loss at the top crossfold and small paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had tears and areas of paper loss scattered in the top and bottom quarters of the vertical fold and in the right half of the top fold, with a lesser number of tears and paper loss on the other folds. It had pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
