Date Sold 10/16/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 7 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Getaway, the classic 1972 Sam Peckinpah romantic crime action thriller ("Screenplay by Walter Hill"; "From the novel by Jim Thompson") starring Steve McQueen (as Doc McCoy), Ali MacGraw (as Carol McCoy), Ben Johnson (as Jack Beynon), Al Lettieri (as Rudy Butler), Sally Struthers ("as Fran"), Slim Pickens, Jack Dodson, Dub Taylor, and Bo Hopkins. Note that the source novel of this movie was pretty "unfilmable" as written (especially the ending!), but Walter Hill did an excellent job adapting it, and while it is not the same story, it is in many ways faithful to the original, and it is certainly one of the best movies of its kind ever made! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: There is a large corrective credits snipe over the entire bottom credits area of card #7 (Jerry Fielding originally did the music for the movie, but had a falling out with Peckinpah, and Quincy Jones was brought in to re-do the music; the poster was printed with the credit "Music by Jerry Fielding", and the corrective snipe changes that to "Music by Quincy Jones"). Condition: very good. Card #7 has a studio-issued corrective credits snipe . Otherwise, the cards are in pretty nice condition! Note that these lobby cards have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
