Date Sold 4/8/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) During the Round-Up, the 1913 D.W. Griffith silent cowboy western short starring Lillian Gish, Fred Burns, William A. Carroll, and Henry B. Walthall. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we can't know if this slide is from the first 1913 release of this movie, or if it is from an early re-release, because there is no real information on it (other than the theater name, and if someone knew when that theater was in operation, that would surely help). Please do not bid on this slide unless you can accept that it may be from a re-release. Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
