An Original 1920 (from the first release of this movie in France) Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 47" x 62 1/2" [119 x 159 cm]) (Learn More) The Cook, the 1918 Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle (billed as "Roscoe Arbuckle") silent seaside hotel comedy short starring Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, Buster Keaton, Al St. John, Alice Lake, Glen Cavender, Bobby Dunn, and Luke the Dog NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Andre Felix Roberty Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this Fatty Arbuckle short is extremely rare. We auctioned a one-sheet poster for the movie 23 years ago, and otherwise only two glass slides for it (and of course, ANY first release Fatty Arbuckle posters from any country are incredibly rare). This is an extremely rare French poster from before World War II! Virtually no French posters survive from before World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards. Condition: fair to good. There is separation, darkening, tears, and small paper loss on parts of the folds, with some tears and paper loss in the borders, and some small brown stains scattered in parts of the poster. The upper left portion of the poster has completely separated along the vertical foldline, but is attached along some portions of the horizontal fold. Several portions of the folds have separation and it is somewhat fragile. Learn More about condition grades
