Potter New York City Coney Island World War I (WWI) military romantic melodrama ("Screen Play by Waldo Salt"; "From a story by Dana Burnet"; about a Texas soldier who goes on leave in New York City, and he accidentally meets a beautiful Broadway actress, and she agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend to impress his friends, but then a real romance begins) starring Margaret Sullavan, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Walter Pidgeon, Nat Pendleton, and Alan Curtis. Note that this was a remake of a 1928 movie of the same name starring Gary Cooper and Nancy Carroll! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Australian one-sheet, and we auctioned that example twice before, 6 years ago and 14 years ago. That same poster has now been consigned to us a third time, so it is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that this Australian one-sheet measures 27 1/4" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra vertical foldline 1" to the let of the regular one, and a diagonal crease just above the left half of the top horizontal fold, and a matching one just below the left half of the bottom fold. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with a few tiny scuffs and tiny tears on parts of the vertical foldline. It had pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
