1,000,000 B.C., the 1940 Hal Roach & Hal Roach Jr. science fiction prehistoric caveman dinosaur fantasy romantic adventure thriller ("Actual living animals of a bygone age recreated and filmed by a new secret process!"; "See the most exciting adventure in a million years!"; "What was love like a million years ago?"; "Greatest Thrills on earth... Wonders Never Before Beheld by Man. The Amazing Spectacle of the World at the Dawn of Time!"; "See: Giant Wooly Mammoths Wreak Havoc... Destruction in Mad Stampede"; produced by Hal Roach & D.W. Griffith) starring Victor Mature, Carole Landis (as "Loana, the Golden One"), Lon Chaney Jr., John Hubbard, and Nigel De Brulier. Note that D.W. Griffith was originally supposed to direct this film but passed the reins to Roach and his son. He then worked as a producer but had his named removed due to a disagreement with Roach.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on the horizontal fold, with a diagonal crease in the lower right and what looks like a paint scuff mark in the middle right. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
