An Original Undated (probably 1950s) Vintage Theatrical Folded Hand-Painted Canadian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 25 1/4" x 38" [64 x 97 cm]) (Learn More) a circa 1950s "stock" poster created by Hal Roach for use by theaters showing re-releases of his 1930s and 1940s Laurel & Hardy movies in 1950s. Note that the poster has cool artwork of Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy! Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area at the bottom right. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Important Added Info: Note that a theater owner in Canada needed a poster to advertise a circa 1950s showing of "A Perfect Day", but they did not have one, so they had someone paint an entire poster on a sheet of one-sheet poster paper that measures 25" x 38" [64 x 97 cm]. So the person who purchases this poster will receive this actual hand-painted original poster (it is actual original artwork). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There is a Canadian censor stamp at top center. There is small paper loss at the crossfolds, darkening on the folds, and some tears and tiny paper loss in the borders. Learn More about condition grades
