eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result #4379 FRAMED LC '27 Milton Sills Date Sold 4/8/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Framed, the 1927 Charles Brabin silent post-World War I (WWI) romantic love triangle melodrama ("Adapted From George W. Sutton, Jr.'s 'Dawn of My Tomorrow'"; "Adaptation and Continuity by Mary O'Hara"; about a French military officer who is framed and court-martialed, which results in his being exiled from France and he goes to Brazil, where amazingly he is hired by the man who framed him, who has also conveniently married his former girlfriend; but the man not only gets revenge on the one who framed him, he also wins back his true love!) starring Milton Sills, Natalie Kingston, E.J. Ratcliffe, Charles K. Gerrard, and Edward Peil. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand-colored card. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. We are also selling an uncolored lobby card elsewhere on eBay this week. Condition: very good to fine. very light scuffs within the image area; minor creases and smudges around the edges of the card (more so in the right blank border and image background); tack hole in each corner Learn More about condition grades
