The Corn is Green, the 1945 Irving Rapper Wales mining town schoolteacher education melodrama ("A Glorious Story for the Screen's most Glorious Actress!"; "Warner Bros. bring that great stage play to the screen"; "From the Stage Play by Emlyn Williams") starring Bette Davis, John Dall (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "His first picture! Meet that stage sensation... John Dall!"), Joan Lorring (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Nigel Bruce, Rhys Williams, Rosalind Ivan, and Mildred Dunnock

Important Added Info: Note that the stills are glued to a linen-like backing (we think it is highly likely that these are key book stills, and that someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the top or left of the still, no doubt so it could be put in a frame).
