He had a major triumph playing FDR in Sunrise at Campobello, both on Broadway and in the movie version. He often had the non-glamorous role of the "guy who lost the girl"! Some of his movies include: His Girl Friday, The Awful Truth (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Rosemary's Baby. He made a great "comeback" with Don Ameche in the movie Trading Places. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ralph Bellamy! The consignor of this autographed item (and a large number of other signed items in this auction) is a longtime autograph collector who does not have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for this item, but he feels certain it is genuine. Many of the items he has consigned were purchased from an autograph store that was going out of business when the owner retired, and many of the items he has consigned to this set of auctions come from this purchase.
