An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) House on Telegraph Hill, the 1951 Robert Wise crime film noir mystery thriller ("Based on a Novel by Dana Lyon"; a very convoluted story of greed and deception!; a woman in a Nazi concentration camp in World War II is freed at the end of the war, and assumes the identity of a friend who is heir to a fortune; she goes to San Francisco to claim it and discovers she is now the trustee of the friend's boy, so she must now pose as his mother; he inherits his aunt's fortune, and she falls in love with the trustee, but discovers the trustee is actually having an affair with the boy's governess, and that they had already murdered the aunt and are now planning to kill her as well!) starring Richard Basehart, Valentina Cortesa, William Lundigan, Fay Baker, and Gordon Gebert NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and creases, tears, and small paper loss in the left half of the top fold and in the top and bottom quarters of the vertical fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had some pinholes, tears, and stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
